FOBBL is proud to sponsor Live from the Library Programs at the Beaches Library!
Our last one featured the Jacksonville Zoo with 3 live animal visitors – the Florida ivory millipede, box turtle, and orange-winged Amazon parrot.
Attendees learned which of those animals were non-native, differences between them and similar species (ex: turtles versus tortoises, millipedes versus centipedes), their diets, and other interesting facts. They also got to pet the turtle!
