Special Note About December 7th
We will have a table of military books available due to December 7th being Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. On this day in 1941, the Imperial Japanese Navy launched a surprise military attack on the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.
The attack killed over 2,400 Americans, damaged or destroyed numerous ships and aircraft, and led the United States to enter World War II the following day. President Franklin D. Roosevelt declared December 7, 1941, as a “date which will live in infamy.”
The day is now commemorated to honor the lives lost and reflect on the historical significance of the event.
