The Friends of the Beaches Branch Library (FOBBL) group was formed in 1979 as an advocate to get the Jacksonville beaches their own public library. The group’s first venture was a success, and the Beaches Branch of the Jacksonville Public Library was built in 1979 in Neptune Beach.
For more than 45 years FOBBL, a nonprofit section 501(c)(3) entity, has worked to stimulate public interest, understanding and use of the Beaches Branch Library, and to promote and develop programs to improve its services, resources, and facilities.
